Pastor John Friedlund – Lead Pastor: email@example.com
Pastor John & Kathy Friedlund have been serving in pastoral ministry with the Evangelical Congregational Church for the past twenty-seven years. They each hold degrees in Education from Clarion University of PA, and John has a Master of Divinity from Evangelical Theological Seminary.
They love the challenge of parenting as they continue to raise four active young adults: Matthew, Andrew, Karen, and Amy.
The Friedlunds enjoy a great variety of sports and activities and the out-of-doors in general. Kathy and John take pleasure in hiking and biking in picturesque areas, gardening and farming, and books and movies.
“As a couple in pastoral ministry, our passion in life is to help others see that by His Grace, Jesus Christ can take our brokenness and turn it into beauty and strength. Our walk with God begins at home in marriage and family life and then overflows into the church, the community and the world. We think of missions at home and abroad as part of our daily lives.”
John is motivated by the challenges of leadership as well as helping people see the refreshing relevance of the Bible in daily life. John also has a real heart for men, both those who follow Christ and those who are still deciding. Kathy especially enjoys mentoring and leading other women in the journey of life and faith.
Pastor Craig Lahr – Youth Pastor:
Pastor Craig comes to us as a 2009 graduate of Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, PA with a BA degree in Pastoral Ministry.
Craig brings a strong interest in sports (an Eagles fan!) and a passion to educate, guide, and mentor young people toward a lifelong service to God.
Articulate and contemplative, Craig is a good listener and has a caring disposition - a great addition to “the team!”
Pastor Don McHenry – Visitation Pastor:
Pastor Don, as he is called by the congregation, was born in Illinois.
His parents returned to Pennsylvania during his teen years.
He graduated from Penn State and completed seminary training at San Francisco Theological Seminary.
He served pastorates in western Pennsylvania. While serving in his first church, he met and married Ann Ellis from Erie. After their three children relocated to southeastern Pennsylvania, he and his wife moved to Douglassville upon retirement.
He has served as Trinity’s Visitation Pastor since 1998. He enjoys his ministry of visiting the sick and shut-in.
Jackie Iatesta – Parish Nurse:
Jackie Iatesta, RN, FCN (Faith Community Nurse), known as our “Parish Nurse”, is also part of the Trinity Pastoral Team. Gathering her expertise from a long and diverse nursing background and her love for people of all ages, she assists people with a variety of concerns. Prevention through education, resource, advocate, instructor, and supportive services are all part of the umbrella she works under. Whether it is navigating the health system or navigating one’s spiritual journey, Jackie is there to provide guidance. Prayer ministry is an integral part of what she enjoys with each person and feels God has called her to this special ministry. Her services are available to the church family and community and include hospital and home visitation.
Jackie also holds a certificate of Alternate to Pastoral Ministry through the Evangelical Congregational Church.
Colleen Hoffman – Director of Children’s Ministries:
Colleen has been involved with children’s ministries at Trinity, including Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Cornerstone Preschool. In 2004 Colleen became a teacher at Cornerstone Preschool and took the Director’s position in 2007. Her outgoing personality, creativity and love for children has served her well in providing leadership to our preschool where children have an opportunity to explore God’s world. Colleen and a team of mothers started the Cornerstone Kids Sale in 2008 for the purpose of generating income to support the Cornerstone Preschool, as well as being an outreach to the community where items are donated to local ministries. Colleen will continue to serve as the Director of the preschool in addition to her responsibilities as Director of Children’s Ministries.
